Homework Help

The Homework Assistance Page

Do you remember the old homework telephone hotlines? With the explosion of the Internet, sites like this one make the old hotlines seem prehistoric. If I had help like this when I was a kid, I would have gone to Harvard! Well, then again...

Homeworkhelp.com

Need a little extra help with that assignment, but no one is around to help? You can always send me an e-mail, but if you are looking for immediate assistance, Homeworkhelp.com may be just the ticket. Choose your subject (the web site offers help in all subjects) and take a look around.

Music

  CD Universe

I enjoy visiting CD Universe because I often come across hard to find song titles or bands. The best part about the website is you can sample the songs on the CD before purchasing.

MIDI Database

This is the most complete one-stop website for MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files. Music is divided by genre. Click on the band or artist to see what MIDI files are available. Highly recommended!

MIDI Explorer

Many of the MIDI files you hear on KIMMEL'S KORNER are found through MIDI Explorer. It is a search engine that takes you to websites containing the song you are seeking. (Hint: Files with the best sound quality ususally are the largest in size.)

Nostalgia

Lisa's Nostalgia Cafe

I stumbled upon this website while looking for new MIDI files. If you want to get a good idea of the your teacher's younger days and the American lifestyle of decades past, then check out Lisa's Nostalgia Cafe. You will probably get a good laugh!

Nostalgia Central

Nostalgia Central is a one stop reference guide through four decades of music, movies, television, pop culture, and social history. Very cool!

One of the best catalogs of online literature. Begin with a general search, or choose a specific starting point from among Reference, Verse, Fiction, or Nonfiction.

The Children's Literature Web Guide

If you click on the link for "Stories on the Web," a terrific variety of online texts will be available for you to read on your computer.

Classic Bookshelf

This is an extremely fascinating and useful site. Reading text on the Internet can be very difficult at times, but Classic Bookshelf allows you to personalize the print and presentation. As if that is not enough, the collection of stories is pretty impressive, too!

Classic Reader

A website containing over 700 books and more than 1,000 short stories written by approximately 200 authors is definitely worth visiting!
